Public Art. Outside Installation on the trees.
When asked to remember something in our past, we recall many different events both collective and personal. Walking through the forest, we recall the smell of falling leaves and the sound of the rain. We think about those who used to walk among the trees before. Trees also remember. A genius loci resides here hiding behind them. The forest, which has always been here, is full of collective memories. Each year trees form new annual rings, collecting datas and recording our history.
Peredelkino is a unique writer’s colony outside Moscow where many famous writers have been living and working for years, where their best books had been written written. Boris Pasternak wrote his Doctor Zhivago here. Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Andrei Voznesensky, Bella Akhmadulina, Robert Rozhdestvensky walked those trails. From dachas’ windows they could see nature all around. The air was filled with their genius thoughts and strings from future masterpieces.
